If someone was to tell me that I could only teach one thing ever in my professional life, and I had to declare it right now, I would have no hesitation in what that thing would be.
While there are many wonderful parts to Yoga that I love to share with the world, I can teach you how to change your life with just one thing, and you are doing it right now…
….but you are probably not doing it very well!
Yes, you’ve guessed it, I am talking about your breath.
We all need to breathe to live, we can’t live long without it, but did you know that we don’t, in general, breathe very well?
That most of us use just a fraction of our lung capacity?
Did you know that poor breathing can contribute to a whole host of physical and mental health problems, and can affect brain performance, sleep, memory and more?
When you stop for a moment and think about the function of breath, it makes sense.
When we breathe we are providing oxygen which nourishes every single one of the estimated 37.2 TRILLION cells we have in our bodies.
If we are not breathing properly we are not taking in enough oxygen, nor are we getting rid of enough of the toxic waste, carbon dioxide.
- improves sleep
- improves the functioning of ALL the systems of the body
- increases brain function
- clears the skin
- calms the nervous system
- increases energy
- …and much more!
It can be a significant player in the fight against the most modern of epidemics, STRESS!
When we breathe well, we
- lower the heart rate
- reduce blood pressure
- soothe the nervous system
- give out brains a chance to think clearly, and
- give outselves space to respond rationally rather than react emotionally, reducing the changes of the soon to be regretted ‘knee jerk’ reaction
I am sure by now you can see why I could quite happily teach nothing but the breath.
As an ex smoking, ex drinking, ex depressed, anxious, angry stress-head asthmatic, I have learned to love and value my breath quite considerably over the last couple of years.
Learning to breathe well was DEFINIETLY a significant factor in my recovery from addiction and misery.
I am pretty sure I would still be all of the above had I not learned to breathe correctly!
Breathe in a New You was conceived out of a burning desire to help others get the benefit of good breathing.
It teaches a very simple breathing technique, as well as some simple practices that release tension from the body.
Over the course of 4 weeks of regular practice, you will
- develop greater awareness of your breath
- increase the capacity of 3 lobular areas of the lungs
- learn to breathe deeply and slowly into the whole of the lung, and
- experience a number of different relaxation practices to help your body and mind relax deeply
- release tension, and increase flexibility in the body
The practices in this course could, if you practice them regularly, make a SIGNIFICANT difference to your health, mental and physical.
At just £27, this course is a steal for the life changing benefits it offers!
